The renovated city center of Acqui Terme has become a summer hotspot with open-air markets, festivals, music and shopping.

The Region

Today, the region is famous for its fine wine and cuisine. At different times each town will share its food and customs by hosting its own festival known as Sagra.

Because of the region's rich history one can visit local museums, or the many castles & medieval boroughs, roman churches and sanctuaries that exist throughout these hills.

For those seeking outdoor sport and activity, cycling takes place in the surrounding countryside, and near-by forests and rivers provide opportunities for hiking, trekking and swimming.

The Piemonte region offers a host of activities such as castle tours, famous carnivals, horseback riding, Il Palio (famous horse races in Asti), and specialty markets in antiques and local foods.

Over 1,000 years old, the friendly city of Ovada is located on the Strada del Vino. As this road meanders through some of the  richest areas in vine cultivation and wine production, it offers easy access to local vineyards and cantinas for wine tasting.
